"I have always been intrigued with color and the mood and emotion you can invoke with a brushstroke." My oil paintings are painted either on location where Mother Nature commands the light and weather conditions, or in my studio where the beauty of the moment is held in my memory.

Plein air painting challenges me to observe closely the values and shapes of my subjects, as well as how they relate to each other in nature. Along with plein air, I enjoy a variety of mediums such as Alcohol Ink and Cold Wax Oil, which can implore free flowing abstracts along with heavily textured surfaces.
